Six steps to a delightfully smooth home loan process.

Everyone at KBHS Home Loans is working to provide you with a smooth home financing process from application to closing. Here are six simple tasks that will help us get you to closing — and into your new KB Home — with no delays.

• DO keep track of the down payments and/or earnest money you paid during the early stages of your home purchase. This may be one or more cancelled checks, or proof of payments made directly from your bank account.
• DO keep copies of all pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, and any other asset documentation as you receive them.
• DO notify us immediately if you’re considering taking a new job. This may affect your loan application.
• DO let us know if any of the following change: your income, assets, credit history, marital status, or address. We will work with you to determine if any of these affect your loan application. 
• DO submit a completed gift letter if your loan allows gift funds and you plan to accept them. The letter must be signed by all gift donors and borrowers. If you need a sample gift letter, ask your loan originator or loan processor.
• DO begin shopping for homeowners insurance, as you will need to provide us with proof of your insurance policy before your loan closes.
